Challenges and Benefits of Decluttering and Organizing

Not everyone can be the Master-Key-Organizer-No-matter-what-just-DO-it type.

If you are not, chances are you have a few challenges from time to time with your stuff.

STUFF is everywhere.

You come home with a banana slicer, a pie bird, a butter bell, or a tuna press just to realize that you already have 3 of them. Ok they are different colors but still…

Last week you had to rent a bigger storage space because of all the stuff that could not fit in your house, garage, shed.

Even your dog cannot fit in its house anymore.

You start feeling overwhelmed, like you are not in control, losing time, money and above all patience.

First you sigh thinking “I don’t have the time to organize”. A little later you admit to yourself that you simply don’t feel like it… You just want to sit in front of a screen and watch something. Anything that can take your mind off decluttering and organizing. Or you watch a show (or a full series) about other people organizing their space.

So why don’t you roll up your sleeves and start right there, around your tv or computer -whatever screen you are staring at.

Not later today.

START NOW.

Start small and persevere, you will go a long way!

Begin with a smaller area, like a shelf, or a drawer and see how you feel when it’s done.

Yes, or no?

Broken reading glasses, dead batteries, junk mail from last month- that’s easy.

You will come across items that are more difficult to make a decision about.

Always ask yourself if the item is useful for you or not, if it adds to your life, if you like it 100%.

(The little porcelain bird that your ex-boyfriend’s Mum gave three years ago…Nope.)

Decluttering-organizing should not be a drag, it should not be hard.

At this point if I say it could be fun, you will probably start making faces and think that it is really a stretch. Or you may throw your hands up in the air and say: “Not in my house”.

EASE into it.

It is about giving yourself a helping hand in creating a system where everything can flow better, so you and your family can have more time and space to live and enjoy life fully.

How does it serve you to put some effort into it? What are the benefits of decluttering?

Besides emotional cleansing and mental clarity, a major dose of R and R is worth all your efforts. RELEASE so you can sigh with RELIEF.

And the bonus? You are letting new energies flow into your life. Whatever it means for you: opportunities, partnerships, prosperity.

You wish. You act. You create. You receive.

Then it can all flow perfectly: health, love, abundance, happiness.
